10 and 1 - All The Colours Of The Rainbow

That's right beautiful reader, this week '10 and 1' is going vintage! Don't worry, Jo and 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' will be here later tonight, but for now you have to make do with me and songs about red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue. I can sing a rainbow, SING A RAINBOW, sing a rain- uh... what? Anyway, here's ten songs about ten colours (black and white count, right?) that rock and one that... well, it doesn't rock at all. That's what makes it the one.

THE 10:

Black
by Pearl Jam
Album: Ten (1991)

Blue
by Joni Mitchell
Album: Blue (1971)

Yellow
by Coldplay
Album: Parachutes (2000)

Green Heaven
by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Album: Red Hot Chili Peppers (1984)

I See Red
by Split Enz
Album: Frenzy (1978)

Purple
by Skin
Album: Fake Chemical State (2006)

Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Part 1
by The Flaming Lips
Album: Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (2002)

Orange Coloured Sky
by Nat King Cole
Album: Orange Coloured Sky (1950)

Violet
by Hole
Album: Live Through This (1994)

White Rabbit
by Jefferson Airplane
Album: Surrealistic Pillow (1967)

THE 1:

Blue (Da Ba Dee)
by Eiffel 65
Album: Europop (1999)

You know what? Screw their little blue house and their little blue dog too! Reflecting on the success of this song, you wonder what we were all thinking at the end of the 90s. I believe the problem is we weren't doing a whole lot of that 'thinking.'
