The K-Tizzle Sizzle - So Long...

 K-Tizz and J-Tizz. Maybe.

 ...farewell, Auf Wiedersehen shit music!
 by Katie Langley

My little sister, couch pal and partner in crime is leaving me next week for Melbourne. You know what? Saying goodbye is hard! I refuse to do it…
I thought about writing a nice sentimental piece about how much I love and will miss her. I thought I might reflect on our favourite songs growing up, and some of the concerts we've been too. I thought I would tell you about the time I made her wear a studded neck collar to a concert (oops). I thought I would tell you about the time she dressed half male half female to record herself singing "You're The One That I Want" (oops).
Instead, I'm going to give her a proper KTizzle goodbye. I've asked her to send through her favourite songs so that I can “critique” them. Ha, sucker.

by Spice Girls

Ginger, Posh, Baby, Sporty and Scary were lyrical poets. I mean, their songs are just like, so, you know, deep….
“Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want,
So tell me what you want, what you really really want,
I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want,
So tell me what you want, what you really really want,
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna zigazig ha”.

Same Man
by Till West

Jess, listening to this song made me question whether or not we are blood siblings. Unless the song actually improved beyond the 40 seconds I heard...

Eh. That’s how I feel about this song – eh. It’s inoffensive. It’s not bad, but favourite song? Sis, c’mon!

We No Speak Americano
by Yolanda Be Cool Vrs DCup

Around the time of this release Jess and I decided to try Zumba. Yes, you read that correctly. The instructor liked to play this song as people were arriving for class, to “get us in the mood”. Hey, there was a lot of hip thrusting and gyrating!
I’m not sure what’s worse – this song or our piss poor dancing. It did allow me to completely and utterly embarrass Jess by screaming “ZUMBA!” at every opportunity.

by The Cranberries

This song brings back awesome memories of Jess and I thrashing around the living room. Actually, we’d start out walking around the room, like zombies (duh), and when we heard the chorus we’d go mental. Eat your heart out The Walking Dead!

Here's Johnny
by Hocus Pocus'

This song was fun in 1993, playing Red Rover at the local Skate Arena. But in 2013 the nostalgia trip lasts a very short time. Honestly I feel like listening to this more than once in a row could be an effective torture technique.

My, My, My
by Armand Van Helden

Who cares about the song, what about the babes in the video clip?! Am I right? Jess, I’m onto you.

Say My Name
by Florence + The Machine

I realise what I’m about to say is not popular opinion and that it may result in some hate mail, but… In my opinion… Florence sounds like a dying animal and her voice hurts my brain. There, I said it.

Jess, I love you and I’m really going to miss you. But I’m not going to miss your shit taste in music.
